What I’m learning about 🧠

The Principal-Agent Problem.

A principal is an owner, and when you own something, you are going to do a really good job.

When you are an agent, you are doing something on behalf of someone else. You are less likely to go the extra mile because your reputation and capital aren’t on the line.

Making employees, volunteers, and even family members feel like owners is essential to getting them to buy in.

When everyone feels and acts like principals, that’s when you have a great company, team, etc.

When people feel like agents, that’s when they’ll say “that’s not my problem” with a heavy dose of sass.

Is it just me or is your brain looking bigger?

What I’m thinking about 🧐

How do you know when to trust your intuition?
