This is the latest volume of the newsletter I send out every Monday Morning. It’s called Renaissance and is full of learning, inspiration, and dad humor.

What I’m learning about 🧠

How our understanding of reality may be limited by our perception.

We all learned in kindergarten that we have five senses. Taste, touch, feel, smell, and sight. Most of us accepted this as a fact and went back to picking our noses. But not David Eagleman.

In his fascinating Ted Talk, he explains how we can create new senses by increasing our ability to perceive the universe around us.

Just one example that floored me is this:

Imagine if an astronaut could feel if there was something wrong with the International Space Station, instead of having to suit up and risk their lives in space to find out.

If that doesn’t blow your mind, there’s definitely something wrong with you.

Is it just me or is your brain looking bigger today?

What I’m thinking about 🧐
