What I’m learning about 🧠

The benefits of deleting social media for a month.

It started as a simple decision to not use social media while I was home in Oregon for my sister’s wedding.

I remember thinking on day 7 or 8 that I wasn’t really noticing a change in how I felt. But as someone who loves to experiment with life, I kept going. And that’s when things got interesting.

A feeling of spaciousness started to creep in like I had more time than I used to. That was true on a literal level (due to a dramatic decrease in screen time), but it was the actual feeling that struck me.

I felt like everything was going to be okay and I didn’t need to rush anymore.

On day 15 or so I realized that I hadn’t compared myself to anyone in a while. And best of all, the voice in my head telling me that I should be doing X, Y, and Z seemed to be on vacation.
